LAWCRY ==> The Lawcrymologist ==> 121 ==> The Newest Testament
You know, I needed one happy poem
So I decided to sit down and write one
Tried to remember all the times
That I laughed so hard that I cried
But it was so overpowering
That I couldn’t do anything but sing
La, la-la, la, la, la, la-la, la, la, la-la love is the law
La, la, la, la LOVE IS THE LAW!
And so great it is that absurdities fly
Because it gives my laughter something to be fueled by
The comedy of life in the first world
When you are rich and have extra time
Will feed sardonic wits endlessly
As long as we have our eyes to see
And this is all besides playing with your friends, wild
Or the joy of knowing a child
As you can plainly see
I have much that can fill me with glee
And as you can plainly see
There is much that makes me happy
Even when I'm faced with ignorant naïvety
I know my patience in a way can set them free
Cause they're just like me
Yeah just like me, and I'm
Thankful I’m alive not having been the casualty of another working bee
Or the victim of an angry mob
Or an act of God, but that’s a kind of joke
We all trust that God doesn’t act
It just lays way back and let’s us do all of the work
I guess being God has its perks
But as you can plainly see
I have much that can fill me with glee
And as you can plainly see
There is much that makes me happy
Even when /I'm/ filled with ignorant naïvety
I know my patience in a way will have me see
God! That it's just like me
To go finger casting
But as you can plainly see
And as you can plainly see
Even when I'm faced with ignorant naïvety
It's just showing me
The next love story in store for me, yeah
