Autonomy Star, Rest In Power <== On Being Loud and Taking Up Space and Then, Not Doing That Anymore

I may say Happy Deathversary, my love
But, know, I'm not denying you of
The fact that you're still very fit to sing
Your songs still greet like early autumn breeze
Embracing a peace, awakening me
And though eventual frost may obscure every memorial frieze:
Like your dance for these ages
Your trails before their blazes
Your meals before courses
And all those carts before their horses

That death is distorted when thought-of, not sensed,
That once spacious love may sadly be condensed
To lamentatious wistfulness portends more than offense
So we celebrate new relations to make peace and hence
You are still forming thoughtful knots, apropos
Knots of your salubrious lively memories, though,
The feels that you shed cannot be controlled
But persistently they invite when one's choosing to know
The extent to a trickster's otherworldly disguise
As feet dangle freely through to other sides
To heal the perceptions of the deliverers of lies
To illuminate their unread libraries of the wise
To ease their startled looks and oh-so-trembl-y thighs

I'm aware that a hint here suggests wild compromise
Your body is gone so what exactly's implied?
That your memory still dances while clasping our lives?
Still urges us, “Go! Explore! ... Improvise!” Hm?
Maybe with feet dangling wildly into unknown sides
Walking on air as freely as your joyful hair flies?
Or as carefully as the tears left uncried confide
Their salty secret's that we should feel at all
For those who have died?

That even when our instruments have all broken,
We still have our hearts and souls to play?

You said that to all of us
You say that to me
So I listen intently for the heartbeats that life shares
From amongst the cacophonic tribulations all living has dared
Our bloody rhythms everywhere, how we relate
In competition, selection
Tragedy, the state of the marketplace
You anticipated the changing rate of the commodified
Your palpitations sent the nutrients necessary for communal strides
A rebellious rhythm national you were
Pedal powered to the end
And you helped set the pace
At which our saving grace was embraced!

Can you not live forever?
Can you let me know from your vantage?
I just don't want you to go extinct
